I have only mashed with it.However I would assume (not based on experience) that it would cause
some haze and really pumpkin has no intrinsic flavor.I don't think it would do much good, IMO.

I have been racking the beer the same day as I brew. Then when ready to add the yeast, I just
open the just-racked bucket and take a sanitized glass pyrex cup and scoop some of the slurry
and dump it ...
