  • I taught myself how to brew, I am a self-taught kind of guy. I love experimenting. I began studying the art of brewing when I was 20 years old, then I decided to actually give it a shot almost two months before I was Legal, 21. Over research I decided to start my home brewing career with Ciders. By the time my first batch was finished I was LEGAL, what a great way to experience a birthday. I am a poor student and at that time all I could afford was a 5 gallon glass carboy and some yeast. Since then I have always enjoyed brewing and sharing my product with friends. I also like serving it to people that do not know that I made it to see how they critique my work. Kind of like a blind test. I found this to very helpful with criticism.
  • I am looking forward to teaching people to brew wine, beer, and ciders in the future. I can have fun with this and even potentially get compensated. I want to create and perfect my own recipes and enter them into tastings. I would love to win awards to have something to show for.

When using commercial juice I always use a starter. Give that yeast a chance to reproduce and
be happy. It also reduces the chance of the yeast to go into shock.
