I like to prehead the tun. It makes hitting the temp easier and more accurate. I also like it
because it rinses my mash tun out after it sits for a few weeks.

I would love 8 gallon glass carboys. I dont think that a 6.5 is all that heavy and 2.5 pounds

It's unheard of to get an infection from hops in the secondary, due to their antiseptic
