    It doesn't go "out" 7 and 8. The power goes "in" seven, and "out" 8, in between 7 and 8 there

    The wiring in the scheme is correct. STC only breaks one of the leads in a circuit. So you put
    hot in 7 and out 8, STC then breaks the hot. Neutral should come straight off the load (fridge)
    and back ...
