    1091, I've broken 2 in the past 18 months. Guy who works at my LHBS says he bought 2 and never
    broke another one, going on 7 years. Seems like a good idea - next time I break one, I'll do

    What I've done is cut off the bottom of an airlock, attached 1/2" silicone tubing with a hose
    clamp, and stuck the airlock end into the stopper - has worked fine for me. Good luck!

    Looks great! How big a starter can it stir? I bought a stir plate that'll do 2L, but thinking
    to DIY one that will do up to 5L starters, wondering if this fan/magnet combo can produce
    enough pull.
