    I split my batch and some of it was with vanilla beans. Out of all the splits that is the best.

    Doubtful, the kits finish dry, the OP seems to be discovering the difference between quality
    kits and low-buck kits.Any suggestions on a chianti?

    I have also heard that aging longer will help, and that adding some yeast fuel after
    fermentation has slowed or stopped will also help.

    Insomniac wouldn't swirling the carboy with airlock in place simply push CO2 back into solution
    since it is heavier than the O2 and in theory would displace it (O2) in the head space of the
    carboy?
