  • I got introduced to making wines and meads from a ceremonial perspective, as I am basically a CR pagan, with a strong interest in Norse mythology as well. I feel that offering up a full horn of mead is a very fitting way to honor my ancestors and gods.
    I don't mind the burn of a young mead, although it's much better after it has aged. My favorite commercial brewers are Guinness, Sam Adams, and Rogue.

  • Helped a friend with his wines and meads, I learned a bit from him and it piqued my interest. The friend subsequently passed away, and I inherited one of his primary buckets and a 6 gallon carboy. Now I brew in his memory. My focus right now is on mead and cider/apfelwein, and I hope to progress into beers as I learn.
