    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your later assumption is correct. The "fridge" side is
    controlled by the "freezer". Cold air from the freezer is used by the fridge to cool it's
    contents.

    I'm a first timer too, but that sounds like a PM or a specialty grain recipe. So just do the
    partial like the recipe ask. Your not doing a "full" mash due to the fact your adding the
    fermentable sugar...
