Without sounding like a jerk, Star San isn't incredibly expensive, if it were me I'd opt for
finding some new stuff on the cheap.

1.05 is not a very high OG. That equates to the range of 5%ish ABV.How are you figuring this
out w/o knowing the final gravity, or are you just making a guess that it'll all ferment?

As someone who has brewed in North Dakota (my home) California, Texas, Nebraska, and now North

Stirring during the sparge helps make sure you're releasing most of the sugars. Also with your
sparge water you should've been up around 185. I wouldn't worry about the low OG though, live

so I came home from a night of dancing to do another little jig in my hallways when I opened
the pantry and saw my airlock bubbling away! Here's hoping there's no effect on the taste.
