Like I said before I don't have notes or a recipe from that beer besides what I posted in the
first post. I would go with the second version though, cutting back the bitterness but also
    upping the lat...

You could try gently swirling the carboy to get the co2 out of suspension which is most likely
holding up the krausen. One week isn't a lot of time though and it is probably best to let it
    sit a littl...

To be honest I can't remember. It was before I started using beer smith and it was 4 years ago.
I do remember one of them was very tasty, just not quite right. I think getting an alt yeast is
    a must t...

Yeah, I realized that when I posted the image. The hlt will be higher and will sparge the

I have not done it but I wouldn't think a few hours is long enough to make it spoil.

  • Posted in thread: Pump wort without losing liquid on 09-22-2013 at 11:18 AM
So after your suggestions, I came up with that. That would be a rims system with one pump and
two sets of heating elements (for kettle and hlt). What do you guys think? I didn't include the
    electrical...

    Should be fine.

  • Posted in thread: Pump wort without losing liquid on 09-17-2013 at 11:51 PM
When I'm done pumping I just unhook the hoses and drain whatever is left into a container. If
its on the hot side I put it into kettle b. if its cold side I just discard it. You don't lose
    a lot.

Well, I'm sure I won't get the IBU's that the program calculated. And all I'm really adding is
an additional ounce during the boil at 60 min and an additional one at flame out. Now, I admit
    that that ...
