I used one at first, it threw the stir bar more than I'd like to say. I balanced two magnets on
a fan and they have worked great for me!

TBH, a flying sparge arm is mostly for show. Its not truly needed as long as you have a light
sprinkle on the sparge, as not to disturb the grain bed!
