I brewed a kitchen sink lager and messed up on my hops conversion. Ended up with 10 gallons of
a unbalanced and under hoped, nice clean lager. Started mixing 1/3 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2/3

I use the top QD's also. I like them fine. Need to be cleaned well to keep them from sticking
when they dry after brewing. 1/2'' only from what I've found. But works fine with a hose clamp

Hot water and Oxiclean. Soak overnight. Inspect. Brush if necessary. Rinse well. If that
doesn't work. Don't waste your time on that bottle.

On the lid. As you said it does not need to be leakproof. This would be a good place for a
weldless connection. I wouldn't spend the money on the tri clamp sytem though they do look
