It depends on your brew setup, but if you have a drain valve in your brew kettle, whilrpooling
works really well, minimal carryover of trub into fermentor. What goes in can just settle out.

Well, after almost 7 days, it started.... Didn't need to check gravity or repitch.... nice 1/2"
krausen so moved it to my keezer/fermentation chamber.... man was that WL-820 slow.... I think

I would have to say my Oktoberfest that is on tap. It was my first lager and 3rd all grain. I

I had a thought. What about using an old stainless steel sink (with a relatively flat bottom)
for the press pan? Cider could drain out the drain and wouldn't have to worry about coating the
wood or ha...
