    when I blow a keg, then clean it, I mix up a pint of BLC in the keg, and run that through the
    lines. I let it soak a half hour, then flush with water.

    4 oz of brewed coffee is not going to do much. I'd wager it is 4 oz of coarsely ground coffee
    steeped for several days, that is one method of doing it.
