Yesterday I put some Oxyclean in a primary carboy and let it sit for 24hrs and I'm very
impressed with how it has pretty much dissolved the hops of the sides of the carboy, amazing!
I've been homebrew...

A lot of times what causes a bigger blowoff is hop particles getting caught in that criss
crossed area. It cuts off any co2 escaping and what could have been just an overflowed airlock
could be a pain...

One thing that I do to all my airlocks is saw or break off the little criss/cross of plastic on
the bottom of them.Why do you cut it off? I'm just curious.

I make a sparkling apple wine that dries out well and resembles domestic "Champagne". I add a
little Welch's white grape concentrate.What was your recipe?
