Before doing any complicated rewiring, I'd hold off for a little while. Version 4.0 of the BCS
firmware is supposed to be out in the next couple months and it's a total rewrite of the code.
    One of the...

To be honest, that's probably overkill. With the insulation in place, even the pilsner is
staying within 2 degrees of its target for an hour and a half. The hef is more like 4-5 hours.
    If I had insula...

in the conicals, chilled to the appropriate temps, and pitched the yeast.Woke up this morning

Gotcha. That's worth the trouble, I suppose. I just use a whole house carbon filter, but it's
not nearly as good as RO. I'll sit back and continue to enjoy your build. :mug:I generally brew
    with RO wa...

I'd stick with buckets. Much less hassle to clean/sanitize than a 30 ft hose. On the plus side,
it'll be a lot easier to keg the beer from a conical instead of a carboy. No need for racking
    canes anym...

Barryfine, do you happen to have any links to such a pump. I have a different application that
I'm working on that might really benefit from such a thing. Here is a cheap 12V version of what
    I'm talkin...

Looking forward to seeing your progress! This is on my to-do list as well. Unfortunately, my
list is getting really long. ;-)edit: One thought on your design. Instead of controlling the
    pump with the ...

Hi Barry! The tubing is actually reinforced silicone tubing and runs about $10 per foot! After
turning regular 1/2" silicone tubing into a water weeny I went down this route. I've been
    having a hard t...
