  • I got in to homebrewing after volunteering at my local home brewery, St Arnold's. Many of the folks I volunteer with are also homebrewers, and after talking to them about it, I became curious. The rest is history - I bought a deluxe brewing kit from my local home brew supply shop and got off and running with an IPA using a liquid malt extract kit and some steeped grain. I enjoyed myself so much I put together a hard apple cider the following weekend. So far, both are progressing nicely!

Imma shoot from the hip on this one and say that if you're using an enclosed device such as a
chest freezer or something similar, a space heater just seems like a bad idea. I can't explain
    why, but I ...

No problem - happy to help! Hope it works out for you. Mine is working great. Down here in
Texas we don't have much need for the heating side, but I'll tell you I'm glad I built it in
    because I'm need...
