Nah, the laser can be set to barely take off the coating on the top of the cap. I've had entire
batches of bottles with engraved caps and never had a problem.

I have only ever tried a handful of pumpkin ales, and they usually suffer from some kind of
imbalance that I can't quite place my finger on. Dogfish Head really nailed it, though. That
