- My dad was always a BMC, Corona and other commercial beer drinker, so naturally that was what I grew grown up on and the only beers I would drink. About 5 years ago, I saw a Samuel Adams commercial for their Boston Lager and was intrigued and curious what it tasted like. So I drove to the closest mini mart and picked up a six pack. Upon first sip, I fell in love and swore off commercial, macro brews forever. Ever since then, I have evolved into a craft brew addict and hop head. I loved craft beer so much that I decided to brew my own about 2 years ago. I started as an extract brewer and had 5 batches under my belt and then moved up to partial mash and mini mash. I finally graduated to all grain brewing 1 year ago. I started cloning other well known beers just to get a hang of all grain brewing and now have a few of my own recipes under my belt. This is the best and most rewarding hobby I have ever had, and I am just getting started.
