  • Started homebrewing in 2002 with Brewers Best Kits, after my cousin started brewing. Switched full recipes in 2007. My favorites are Hefeweizen and Oktoberfest.

    I still use just an Ale Pail, and glass carboy, plus some thermometers and a hydrometer.

    to date, this is the highest BJCP score I have gotten, at 42. Need to make it again soon.I do
    the brown ale as an all grain 10gal, and do 5gal with the raspberries.

    Just brewed another 10gal all grain batch. This has become a frequent flyer in my keezer.

    glad it finally finished. Likley you had a slow starting (old) yeast, way underpitched, or did
    not have enough oxigenation.Glad your SWMBO loved it.
