again, as long as you get silver bearing plumbing solder (home depot/lowes) you will be fine.

Some brew pubs do use serving tanks rather than kegs. But still, very different in design than
a conical. Just think very large keg with temperature control.

you could of course use a controller like that (not exactly that one) to output to a
appropriately sized mechanical relay or solid state relay to switch the element.

some of the best beers ive made have been forgotten for ages and found with no liquid in the
air lock.keep in mind there is a protective layer of c02 ontop of your beer.
