Posted in thread: reusing screw top bottles on 10-24-2012 at 05:24 AM

Heh I'll just mix it in with a martini. Extra virgin olive alcohol. I have no idea what my temp
was, it was room temp so close to 70 I presume? Only fermented for 5 days then cold crash for
2-3 days, ...Posted in thread: Cider tastes like olives on 10-23-2012 at 06:01 PM
So I made some cider about a week ago or perhaps it is an apple wine now? Regardless it tastes
faintly of olives no apple taste whatsoever. Should this taste mellow in time? I hear this is
due to alde...Posted in thread: Ace Hard Apple Cider on 10-21-2012 at 02:07 AM
I agree that ace's pumpkin is amazing. Been drinking woodchuck recently and that doesn't even

Are you pleased with the taste overall? I know you can back sweeten the entire batch but this

and its a b...Posted in thread: First Batch Question(s)? on 10-17-2012 at 10:27 PM
Looks like me and you are both newbies to this, I just started my first batch about a week ago
used wegmans 100% apple juice. I used no Campden tabs and used champagne yeast. Mine was done
in about 5 ...Posted in thread: Cider done fermenting in 5 days. on 10-16-2012 at 08:50 PM
I think it was a FG of 10. I have a triple scale and I pretty much only look at the abv part.
Started at 8.5 PABV now down to 1. So it should be 7.5 abv right? Some were a bit higher some a
bit lower ...Posted in thread: Cider done fermenting in 5 days. on 10-16-2012 at 05:58 PM
I started 4 batches 5 days ago, took readings before and after and now they're all at about
6-7% abv so I guess they're done. Threw them all in the fridge to cold crash (3 qt containers).
Is this a no...
