star san has worked for me. I've only done three batches, but so far so good! And just so you
know, it's sanitized, not sterilized ;)

I poured my first beer last night. I had about a 1/4" of foam at the top of my glass. The beer
has been slowly carbing at 12psi @ 36F for a week and a half. I thought it was a bit
    under-carbonated. It...

So, I'm all for replacing the beer line. However, there's a metal clamp (looks like a cinch
clamp) on the barbed connection to the faucet. How do I get this off? Is there a special tool
    to remove this...

    line from the be...

Thanks guys. It's been >24 hrs, and it's holding steady at 11.5. I guess it just needed some
    time.

I just kegged for the first time this morning. I'm planning to "set it and forget it" for the
next two weeks. I set the psi at 12, and the temp has been steady at 37F. I checked on it twice
    today, and...

  • Posted in thread: Dual-Tap Kegerator - suggestions? on 10-29-2012 at 01:40 AM
You can piece together your own brand new 2 tap kegerator without having to convert a fridge
and save about $100, and get better faucets! Consider the edgestar br2000 (~$300, with
    shipping). I then pu...

I brewed a irish red ale kit. It was a dry yeast packet that I used. I'm going to try to
refrigerate them for a few days and see what happens. I'll also try to resuspend the yeast and
    see if that work...
