    ABOUT ME

  • I had been wanting to try home brewing for years and finally broke down and got my first kit in 2011. I started doing all grain batches in 2012 but took most of 2013 off. I got the itch again this year

I brewed this about 3 weeks ago, hit my mash temp spot on, OG was 1.052. I used 1056 instead of
Notty. I fermented for 2 weeks at 66 deg and then cold crashed for a week. When I took a final

I brewed this recipe again for the fourth or fifth time. It's always a big hit with friends and
family. OG was 1.066 (but I beefed up the base malt a little as I usually do). Followed the
    recipe exact...

Been about a week since I last tried my latest batch. Aceteldehyde is less pronounced. I'm
hoping another 1-2 weeks and it'll have faded completely.

Two weeks in the keg, and about carbed up. Taste is awesome. Can't wait for another few weeks
    to pass. Great recipe.

Love this recipe, but my recent batch has some major aceteldehyde going on. I fermented around
66 with US-05 for 3 weeks with a week then to cold crash prior to transferring to the keg. It's
    been in t...

Kegged the other day, couldn't resist a sample. Cold and flat, still tastes awesome. Can't wait
for it to carb up and age a few more weeks. Nice amount of roasty flavor and silky smooth.

    I brewed this last weekend...1.058 OG but only down to 1.020. I used 1098 because I couldn't
get any 1335. I fermented around 67 degrees. I've raised it up a degree or two and tried to
    rouse the yeast...
