  • My wife an I discovered a meadery on hornby island, i decided I would try to make some cause we couldnt find any in our local b and w stores, and now I am obsessed. I currently have 4 one gallon meads fermenting. A JAOM, a juniper berry JAOM, a cranberry pomegranate mead and a cran/pom cyser.
  • I'm currently concocting in my brain a sweet mint/lime mead. My take on a mojito mead.
  • JAOM minus the cloves. Strawberry rhubarb melomel 71B-1122.
  • JAOM EC-1118 racked onto chai tea,rnJuniper berry orange mead EC-1118 on oak,rnCran/Pom melomel 71B-1122,rnCran/Pom cyser 71B-1122.
  • Hard apple cider ( unfiltered cider )rnHard apple cider ( store bought juice )

    All of the JAOM I've made tasted like pee, literally, it was really bad. I've saved a bottle to
    to try in another year and maybe the ancient mead fairies will make it taste better.

    Bottled my first carbonated cider, what temp do they need to be stored to carbonate, i have
    them in my basement right now, it's around 60 in there is that ok? Or is it too cool?
