Spuds are great, their downside is that they are single sided vs. a fitting can be put on each
side of the coupling.

My thought is shipping would be far cheaper. Just the weight of 10 gallons of liquid before
packaging would make flying with it very expensive.

I did mine with a step bit, and ended up having to take the die grinder in after to open it up
a little. For the element I really recommend using boobym's welding spuds.
