  • As a child wondering through the storage basement of my grandparents house. I would wonder what was the smell and popping noises coming from the closet were. Come to find out it was my grandfather's home brew. Never able to have some, my curiosity began to grow. Years down the road, around the age of sixteen, I would try my first home brew. Not from my grandfather, but from a hillbilly from my small town. I will respectfully say not very good. More or less brewed for the alcohol. In my opinion too afraid to distill actual liquor. It wasn't until the summer of 2007 that I had another home brew. This time, to my despise, the brew was full of flavor; sweet, velvety, hoppy, and warm yet refreshing. It wouldn't be for another five years that I would actually start my first home brew. Let me tell you, since i started I haven't looked back. Since then i have brewed; IPA, Hefeweizen, Porter, and a blonde.
