- I tried 2 one-gallon batches of mead my senior year of college. Both turned out okay at best.rnrnA couple buddies at work (back when I was in the Navy) got me started brewing beer in 2001. Since then, I only brewed periodically due to space constraints from living in condos. I now have a full basement in which to brew and store/age my beer.rnrnRecent improvements have been the switch to all-grain (3-tier system), a kegerator and my (in-progress) fermentation chamber.
