  • I brewed my first extract in the spring of 2009. While making the occasional extract brew I read voraciously on HBT as I was fascinated with the process of AG, keezers, HERMS, yeasties, etc. Come fall of 2010 I went AG. I've made a few of EdWort's recipes, a couple of clones and have recently been experimenting with a few recipes of my own to see what happens when I play god with the ingredients. I am building up my 10g HERMS system.

Thanks to all you fine folk and the wealth of info you share with us nOObs!

being claimed for veggies. Come dig them up and they are yours! I'd love to try one of your

I would flip the manifold over so the slits are on the bottom. With them on the top you will
have the full weight of the grain pressing on them potentially creating sparging challenges.
    Also, with the...

Not gonna' lie - once my IPA ferments for three weeks, hits the keg and is carbed for a week I
"taste" it every night. I try to brew hard for a few weeks to fill the pipeline. Once I have
    enough - the...
