    ABOUT ME

  • I am an S1/D1 water plant operator for Waterford, MI. I have been in the water industry for 10 years now and operate 13 fully automated drinking water treatment plants as well as 3 storage towers and 3 remote well houses. Working with water chemistry and process automation obviously lends itself well to brewing. It took me a while to get going but I'm making some great beer now and having alot of fun with it. I have been married to my beautiful wife Dana for 9.5 years and we have two kids Sophia and Grayson. Life is good.

  • My dad has been a home brewer since I was a kid. I started brewing extract kits around 92 or 93. In the last few years I have doing AG with a typical garage makeshift cooler setup. I have been working on a nice HERMS rig over the winter and have a couple batches done with it that are tasting great.

The cidery flavor has completely gone away. This is a great beer.

This is my weldless stand. It's made of Super Strut from Home Depot. this pic is from last
spring. It's not a HERMS anymore. I've added a panel and a RIMS tube to heat the mash.

I brewed the same recipes from CYBI. I followed the Fullers fermentation regimen almost exactly
due to the rebrew show going on about how important it was. I also made my starter size based
    on Mr. Mal...
