I think you can't make a beer without a recipe. It doesn't sound like you have much to go on.
Why don't you pick an IPA from the recipe database or from a source online, there are hundreds
of recipes ...Posted in thread: St Fuad's Irish Red on 01-10-2010 at 08:41 PM
I just brewed this a few days ago, brewing went very smoothly because I measured out all the
mash and sparge water ahead of time and cleaned and set up the equipment the night before. A
few alteration...Posted in thread: How does my recipe look? on 01-08-2010 at 11:57 PM
So what do you suggest? I only have 8 bottles I could uncork them, pour them back into a carboy
and add some honey and re bottle later or just let them sit in my basement and mellow out.Posted in thread: How does my recipe look? on 01-08-2010 at 08:52 PM
Well, I just bottled yesterday and after 7 months it was a spectacular failure. All the honey
fermented out leaving a thin, dry mead comparable to "watery tequila." There was a nice
honey/spice aroma ...Posted in thread: Double-W Imperial Stout on 07-13-2009 at 09:00 AM
1.040?!? That certainly seems high how long was it aged? I mean 1.040 would be close to the OG

Saccharomyce...Posted in thread: Boil time and hop flavor on 06-06-2009 at 10:20 PM
Well the problem was I did all my hop additions but after 1 hour of boiling I had considerably
more wort than my target so I removed the hops and boiled for an extra hour. I am afraid that
was a mista...Posted in thread: Double-W Imperial Stout on 05-30-2009 at 08:03 PM
OG 1.100 FG 1.026, 9.7% ABV. Primary for a month secondary for a month bottled today. Gonna age
it for a month or two.Posted in thread: Hop perfume on 05-30-2009 at 04:29 PM
For some reason every non brewer I have talked to finds the smell of hops disgusting. That
could be why there isn't one.Posted in thread: Too soon to move to all-grain? on 05-30-2009 at 04:27 PM
Do it I also started with all grain my first, second third batch have all been all grain. I
only bought extract to make my starters. It's easier than you think.
