  • I had been considering homebrewing for some time, since I tasted some of what a friend had made. He recomended that I check out homebrewtalk.com by the way. I took the plunge when my brother (who homebrews both beers and mead) and I visited a local supplier. I bought a True Brew Equipment Kit and a True Brew Irish Stout kit. Turned out great and I disovered it's not really rocket science. Now I have six fermentors!

    actually it's not way dry... The pear cider was a Mangrove Jack's Kit that had some kind of
    sweetener in a plastic packet you put in after fermentation. I had made this two years ago
    using fresh pears...

    Basically a pilsner/pear cider combo with Citra hops. Fermented using champagne yeast. YUMMY
