    ABOUT ME

  • CFO at Chicago Architecture Foundation
  • Aaron Andersen
  • Started with a Mr. Beer starter set that my wife got me for Valentine's Day. Then I upgraded in cooperation with some friends, and we now brew 5-gallon extract kits and mini-mashes, and tinker around with them. I am now stepping into all-grain, too.
  • I want to find an all-grain recipe I really like, and then try it over a few times to master it and learn to tinker with it. I think saisons make a great base for tweaking and augmenting, so maybe I'll go with that.
  • None
  • Oaked bourbon porter with vanilla bean
  • All-grain SMaSH APA with 2-row pale and Galaxy hops; Surly Cynic partial mash clone; Irish heavy extract - not so great; Some aging Mr. Beer trippels - even worse

I guess it was one of those times you had to be there? Once she got it from me that she wasn't
going to get to do it the easy way, then was told I'm a home brewer & author, she stumbled for

It's so damn cheesy that I might just have to give it a pass. Not laugh-out-loud material,
but... it has a certain... charm... Kinda like a movie that's so bad it's good.Your

Therefore, if you can define something that is partially made from a "plant" to be a salad,
then virtually everything can be a "salad." Especially if you define it so loosely as a liquid

I would guess that in the 1800s and before, there wasn't any actual "home" brewing, but just
"brewing". Everyone brewed at home mostly, or they probably didn't drink. You would think with
    no commercia...

You may not find someone's off the cuff remark funny. But the good news is it gets WAY LESS
FUNNY when it gets dissected, and the dissecting commentary gets dissected.
