  • I bought a True-Brew kit when I was still living in an apartment but didn't end up brewing because I was told "it would stink up the whole building". So, the kit sat in a closet for 2+ years until a new guy at work talked me into getting off my butt and doing it! Now I'm preparing for the switch to AG and loving brewing! I've only really brewed Shoultz-Meyer recipes from BMW (some extract, some partial mash) and I've started kegging. (4 batches bottled and I had enough of that crap...) I'm gathering supplies for a 3 tier keggle setup, and trying to get better about making notes on brew days.

Heating a metal MT can be tricky unless you plan on circulating the wort w/ a pump. If you are
dead set on using alum, i remember a guy using two alum kettles, a 60 and 80/100 quart one

Can you send me a pic and/or some dimensions? I'm looking for something ~13 to 14in in
diameter... I'll be in that area on thursday or friday.

May the roof over us never fall in, and may we friends gathered below never fall out.
