  • I've wanted to start brewing for a few years before my uncle said he wanted to get back into the game and would show me. His list of "Honey-do's" never got any shorter, though, and we never started brewing. In early 2009 after I ended up making my first extract batch and said someone should put his gear to use and bequeathed it to me. Turns our he had a big rig that could handle a 10 gallon batch and enough carboys and kegs for many 5 gallon batches, but only ever made extract brews himself. That's the beginning of the story, and as we all know it continues with us spending more than we should on bigger, better, and nicer systems, set-ups, and toys. But I love it!
