  • I got into brewing as a dare from my wife about 13 years ago. She saw a Mr. Beer kit and said that I could not do that if I tried. Well the rest is history now. I used Mr. Beer for about 2 years and moved into a 5 gal setup. I am now brewing all grain now. No style or ingredient is safe with me. I like to push the envelope all the time and not just with my beers.

    How did you determine that your efficiency was 88%? Was 88% your brewhouse or mash

    Maybe I did something wrong but BeerSmith calculated it at 75%. I ended up with over 88%
    (according to Brewers Friend calculator). I posted my recipe below and maybe you can help me
