  • To be honest, I didn't really like beer right away. I would drink it with my buddies back in my High School days in order to get drunk. I would drink whatever was on sale, which was usually Pabst, Natural Ice, or Bud Light. Over time, I eventually developed a taste for it, but I would almost always prefer other alcoholic drinks over beer.

Then the day came when my older friend Dave invited me over one night to witness him brew his own beer. He ordered pizza, turned on some metal for us to listen to, and he had about four different kinds of beer for us to try. One was a stout, one was a pale ale, one was a lager of some kind, and I forget what the last one was. This was my first time tasting authentic microbrews, and I loved them. I remember saying something like "Wow! Beer with taste!" I became intrigued with the process of brewing beer and a couple weeks later, I bought a beer kit from my local home brew shop. Several weeks after this, I brewed my very first extract beer
  • I plan on brewing an IPA or a stout.... soon.
