  • As a chef for 20 + years, i felt it it time to brew for my self gradification. New to the hobby my plans include to force carbonate my brews, yes more kegging; less bottling right from GO! Obviously I have most of the equiptment, or access to the ones I need; {work perks ;) } , however the opportunity to share and learn is the best tool we all have. I have since upgraded my equiptment to include all-grain brewing (12-30-08).

    Thanks Home Brew Talk,

  • Started brewing in college, good times but they are a haze. Restarted in '08 as a way of combining my love to create with the love to drink Beer. Currently I only have a setup equivelnt to the space I have, i.e. fermentation buckets x3 and kegs x2. I am restricted to partial mash and extract recipie prodution till spring, then I will build in the garage after the clean out Garage Sale. I remeber trying an ale kit and so that is where I started.
  • Variants of Red Irish Ale, Amber Ale, Pale Ale and a fruity Ale for my Bride, { she is so accomodating }. Sottish Ales and Old Ale are up for mastering in '09.
  • Murphy's Irish Red Ale
  • Kryptonian Ale

Why bottle when a Pint by the Glass from a tap is so more enjoyable with less hastle.

Like JKoravos, I too monitor my brew closely. Keep in mind, once your target FG is sustained,
you need to "condittion" the brew. This done best by racking to a secondary because any trub

Good form in your build, congrats on your success. I wish to add to your design by the
incorporation a pressure relief valve in the lid. As you mentioned the "positive pressure"
    issue, the light came ...
