- In the Fall of 2005, some roommates and I wanted to brew a better Coors Light-- we pitched in and bought a basic setup and extract kit and brewed it-- it was borderline awful. The kit got stuffed away into storage. Two years later, in the Winter of 2007, I dug up that kit and tried a similar kit. It was fantastic. Thanks to the 'Basic Brewing All Grain DVD', I went all-grain two batches later. Coming up on my 1 Year Anniversary as a true homebrewer, I have brewed close to 75 gallons and have more than half a dozen all-grain batches under my belt. Now I've set my eyes on entering competitions.
