    ABOUT ME

  • Designer by trade, beer lover by nature. My business partner and I are in the process of getting a fledgling brewery off the ground, in Western Maryland. Our goals include: the pursuit of great beer; cementing our business as a player in the local community; championing the beer education of the uninitiated, and, ultimately, world domination (it's a lot easier to take something over when everyone's drunk and happy!).

Personally, I love the outdoors, music, running, and, as an extension of those things, beer -- the perfect way to record all those great memories and seal them with a sudsy, hoppy kiss! Training to run a marathon -- running is such a wonderful feeling.

  • Got into homebrewing just as a hobby... something new to learn and understand. Have always had an interest in beer since I began drinking at sixte... the legal age of twenty-one. Started with an extract kit (I believe it was a brown ale) and was almost turned off to homebrewing by the rancid product of my negligence. Read up obsessively about brewing, got into all-grain after a couple more tries with extract and haven't looked back since.
  • Barrel-age the IIPA that's fermenting right now; Witbier before Summer's end; a BIG Barleywine soon (perhaps next, actually); Pumpkin Saison for Halloween...

Another possibility is if the fermentation wasn't as active as the last time you brewed it
maybe the gas evolution was more vicious and pushed more of the sulfur out of solution? I
    suspect it's probab...

1.130 barley wine (which'll be ready for Xmas)... I can't overstate the shock I experienced
when I opened up my NB package and unwrapped the 5000 mL flask for our big beers. My god. What

There's a retail license for the site we're going to be moving into so we'll be able to sell
directly on-site -- but when we got to seek a house (can't do any self-distribution in MD) I'll

I've uploaded a few on another thread here, but I've made changes and made more so I figured
I'd just make a dump -- any feedback is appreciated (especially questions... that way I know if
