    I can usually maintain a 12 gallon boil with 12-13 amps at 240VAC I also use a (non-UL rated )
    plastic cap similar to what AnOldUR is using.

    I have 2nd-year Cascade, Centennial, and Columbus reaching the 10 foot mark on the trellis now.

    I think it's pretty normal to let all 4 take off on the same rope. That's what I'm planning on.
