much so that i...Posted in thread: Way to high mash heat - stuck fermentation at 1.042 on 09-01-2012 at 05:59 PM
I mashed at 162 on a porter some months ago, and my FG bottomed out at 1.034. This was much

So.... I was thinking today that I wanted to try a big barley wine style ale, but I also wanted
to make a black wheat ... Then I thought " what if I did both?" henceforth... 2.0 gal batch -
all-grain ...Posted in thread: A Little Concerned, Not Much Krausen on 08-05-2012 at 05:46 PM
Something similar happened to me two batches ago. I pitched Nottingham in a porter, could
clearly see some fermentation occurring due to bubbling of the airlock, but there was no
krausen at all. Ferme...Posted in thread: Standard IPA / IIPA grain bill on 08-03-2012 at 03:30 AM
Don't forget there is nothing wrong with trying what sounds good to you regardless of its
typicality. I mean, there are certain things that should be followed like using a base malt for
conversion of ...Posted in thread: Krausen-less on 08-01-2012 at 03:19 AM
Just in case anyone is interested in what happened; the beer has been in primary for two weeks
now. I took a gravity reading after 6 days and the gravity was at 1.034. I waited one more day,
took anot...
