  • My in-laws gave me my first home brew kit for Christmas 2010. One of the best gifts ever. I upgraded to all-grain in May of 2011 and never looked back. What a great hobby. It combines my love of process, tinkering and, of course, drinking great beer.

    You could still boost the alcohol content by boiling some DME in water, chilling, and then
    pitching directly into an active fermentation. Can't say it will do much for the flavor though.
    Never done it...
