It sounds like you just got a bad wand. I've used one for years without issue. That said, I
would think a drop of Superglue would work fine. If you just use a drop you should still be
    able to crack it...

Most likely your initial reading was warmer than your second one. If your wort was warm, it
will read a lower SG then it will after it cools a bit. Hydrometers are calibrated for 60* F so
    you need to ...

Check your torque on the nut. You could be over-tightening them a little which pushes the

I think you'll find that mash ratios and sparge volumes won't make much of a difference. Maybe

You're probably not going to find one for less than Bobby_M sells them at Brewhardware.com. It
is possible to build them yourself (I have) but by the time you source the polycarbonate
    tubing, the die ...

One thing to remember is your risk of screwing up. I've added many a fitting both silver-solder
and weld-less to keg based pots and feel comfortable doing so because if something goes wrong
    I'm only o...

Spike will weld a 1" NPS half coupler for a an element. You'll have to find a way to get it
back to him but I'm sure they'd do it. Ben was really great to work with when I special ordered
    my kettle fr...

I'd bump it up to all 15's if you can. A big beer like a barley wine will push the limits on a
10 gallon MLT even for a five gallon batch.
