  • DIY electric brewing setup currently, started in Feb 2011 with a Munton's no-boil-pre-hopped kit that tasted like apple cider when it was done. Now many many batches later, doing full all grain brew in a bag (BIAB) and loving it.rnrnGot into brewing for the cost savings, staying for the cost savings and because now I can't drink Old Milwaukee beer anymore...most of the stuff I used to drink is so watered down I can't believe I enjoyed it.

Dry hopping at cold temperatures will take longer to achieve your end result taste/aroma.
Otherwise it'd be about the same, probably triple the time needed at room temp if your doing it
    at serving tem...

It'll be fine, should be no different than having extra head space. Just easier to purge, less
waste :)So long as your air post isn't dipping into the liquid, you won't run any real risk of
    having liq...

Glad you're not my neighbor...I can't fathom my neighbors just dumping **** all over my lawn,

LME I pour in while the element is on, no trouble. I do stir as I pour, or as soon after as I
can. I also pour off to the side of the element, not like right over top of it. No issues, with
    a camco 55...

^^ what he said.If your source keg has pressure and your destination keg does not, and you're
hooking up the OUT to the OUT (black to black ball locks, whathaveyou), you WILL move liquid
    from the sour...

That's awesome!Word of caution: in a couple years they will grow huge and thick and may
intertwine and mix, making it hard to differentiate between varieties. And your power meter may
    be totally inacc...

Yeah that's a pretty open question open answer is:plug things in so that you don't
die, and so power flows into the element from your source, via a series of wires and switches.

Awesome job! I really like the idea of re-purposing something and of having a beer dispensing
setup that you can have in your livingroom without people seeing just a fridge or a keezer or
    something. L...

A friend of mine did something similar and wound up with only a 5 minute hop addition. He
thought "Boy this was so fast to do, awesome!" and then tasted the result, basically not
    drinkable unless mixe...
