  • DIY electric brewing setup currently, started in Feb 2011 with a Munton's no-boil-pre-hopped kit that tasted like apple cider when it was done. Now many many batches later, doing full all grain brew in a bag (BIAB) and loving it.rnrnGot into brewing for the cost savings, staying for the cost savings and because now I can't drink Old Milwaukee beer anymore...most of the stuff I used to drink is so watered down I can't believe I enjoyed it.

  • Posted in thread: Moving houses - how to move established plants? on 04-20-2015 at 08:42 PM
I've got a four year old Nugget that has a gigantic crown and four second year plants that I
need to move to a new house at the end of June this year. The plants are already doing well,
    Nugget is some...

  • Posted in thread: What is this? on 01-19-2015 at 08:38 PM
This is your cold break I'd presume. Irish moss greatly enhances this, makes for a pretty cool
sight sometimes. Very normal and common for all grain batches. And safe to dump into the
    fermenter if you...

  • Posted in thread: Yes, another thread about how to increase efficiency on 01-05-2015 at 08:39 PM
I have the same sort of thing, efficiency ranges greatly between like 60% and 80%, though I
used to get over 90% occasionally. I've tried a variety of crushes, some very fine, some
    thicker. A variety ...

  • Posted in thread: Silicone tubing for beer line? on 01-04-2015 at 03:06 AM
I would think the bulging issues are only very rare. Not sure that CO2 in the beer could cause
that kind of issues .10psi or so on your lines is enough to bulge lines that aren't made for
    this amount ...

  • Posted in thread: Hooked On Your Own Brew(s)? on 01-03-2015 at 02:45 AM
I buy WAY more (read: never bought any before) single serve craft beers now. But that's maybe
like 1-2 per month, and the rest of the time it's strict homebrew.
