  • Started brewing with the far out dream of opening a brew pub in my hometown some day. There's not enough good local beer.

    I skipped extract, jumped right into all grain, and did a double decoction mash on my second batch. I'm a hopeless tinkerer. Now I've ventured into mead. I need to get a good mead down and make enough for my wedding.

    I've used raw wildflower honey as a priming sugar in several batches. It may take a few extra
    days to carb, but that's the worst of it. My philosophy is prime with a sugar that's already in
    the recipe...
