Mashout isn't really needed in biab. Biab tends to get 80% efficency if you grind your grain to

Nope, I often do this. I don't see any difference between having it sit in carboy or having it
sit in wort starter.Just remember to retrieve before dumping trub!

I find if you add water anytime after the boil, it doesnt blend the water in and gives the beer
a watery taste, like as if you added water to it.
