  • I've been brewing for a couple years now and it's become one of my favorite hobbies. I also enjoy cooking, mainly barbecuing and smoking, so brewing great beer fits right in. I also keep several freshwater aquariums and have a wild caught Mediterranean house gecko. In my free time, if I'm not brewing or manning the bbq, I play a lot of disc golf and tinker with my cars.

San Antonio has just recently begun to accept a more modern culture it seems. Up until recently

I have not seen it. When we go out to eat it must be a place that serves craft beer.San
Antonio, TX just doesn't seem to have much of the far west/east beers. There are several that I

Stash IPA by Independence Brewery from Austin, TX states it is 7% ABV with 100 IBU's. It's very
good and not harshly bitter. It's more like a typical west coast IPA, and it seems more like 70
    IBU's. ...

Is this "fermentation chamber" a chest freezer? Those can sweat and get quite damp inside, but

I'm tempted to use Fuggles hops just because I like the name.Fuggle would likely be a great

Hey dude. Thanks for the post on harvesting dregs. Im a big Bells fan myself. Your info was both straight forward and extremely laid back. As it should be. Its not rocket science. We're makin beer. Chill out relax and come up with a fresh idea. And fuck up once in a while. Some of the best things in human consciousness have come from someone fucking up. I hope Tex at least gave ya a tshirt ;)

@mnstorm99 Ah yeah, that's theveganbrewer's blog. He's the one that started up the Heady thread here. Good stuff. I'm actually brewing a variation of the IIPA I've created that borrows from both his Heady and my Abrasive clone recipes tomorrow afternoon. If it lasts, I'll bring some to the June meeting. Slinte, bro!!
