Just a follow up on my mash tun...I hit my strike water temp at 172 FAnd maintained my mast
temp of 154 for the entire hour!...It was a good brew day...

After reading several threads on the Igloo 50 quart cube cooler, here's is my solution! I used
four layers of 16"x24' Reflectix around the outside of the cooler and used "great stuff" foam

what size is your mash tun? To much head space can cause the temp to drop. Filling the lid
should help some, but placing a precut styrofoam sheet on top of the mash would be better.

Munich Malt has a malty sweet flavor characteristic and adds a reddish amber color to the beer.
It has enough diastatic power to convert tself, but needs help from another malt, such as 2-row

I've worked with john on ordeting a 20 gal brew pot. It did take a couple of calls to get a
holds of him, but it's with it! He's very helpful and will make sure you get what you need.
