  • New to brewing, wanted to save money on beer by home brewing, now I want to make awesome tasting beers. I like all grain the best, cooler/ mash tun, I like to bottle, it is very therapeutic. First brew was a pale ale. I freaked out when it tasted wrong at 2 weeks....... All grown up now, 15gal HERMS..

    ... Just make sure you make a starter, I wouldn't recommend pitching washed yeast without one
    unless it's within a week of harvest...Weeeeellllll, maybe... using the Mr Malty pitch rate

    i've done hop stands with a few hop forward beers and while the flavor and aroma contributions
    are better than adding during the boil, they don't replace the beautiful aroma you get from dry
